Forever Man, the newest release from Clapton with over 33 to 51 songs (depending on the version you spring for) spans his thirty plus years with Reprise Records. The three cd set is broken up into three distinct categories: studio, live and blues. There’s no mention of anything being re-mastered but the songs sound crisp and clear nonetheless.
Forever Man is a good overview of Clapton’s later day musical prowess, but diehard fans may still find cause to complain because of certain omissions. Personally, I would have loved to see a few more tracks from the Money and Cigarettes and Journeyman albums.
All in all, Forever Man is a nice addition to any rock fans’ collection.
