Shazam, tells the story of Billy Baton who is chosen by an ancient wizard to become Earth's newest champion and protector from the forces of evil.
To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed by the trailer for Shazam,but I am glad that I went to see it.
Shazam is light hearted entertainment that will surely please the entire family. It has action, adventure, comedy and a great positive message about family.
The entire cast is great but in my opinion it's the dynamic/ relationship between Shazam (Zachary Levi) Billy Baton (Asher Angel) and Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer) that take centre stage in the film. The comedy and dramatic interchange between these characters seem genuine and sincere; making it easy to feel and root for them during the film.
Also, the ever reliable Mark Strong does a convincing job as the film's baddie, Dr. Sivana.
Shazam has a little something for everyone and it isn't as dark as some of DC's films.
So if you're looking for a film that will please the whole family, look no further than Shazam.
