Anyone in the know, knows that this latest version of Hellboy sports a brand new cast and director. Unfortunately, that leaves fans from the first two installments without a fitting conclusion.
i, for one, really enjoyed the first two installments helmed by Guillermo del Toro. I thought that del Toro's films were the best in the superhero genre.
So how does Hellboy 2019 directed by Neil Marshall compare?
In my opinion, this third feature film is strictly for hardcore fans and will no doubt be a cult classic. But this feature film lacks the awe and wonder that del Toro brought to the previous movies. Hellboy 2019 is a decent film but it is in no way close to the greatness of the first two films.
Recommended for die hard Hellboy fans.
