The Dead Daisies are back with their fourth studio album, Burn It Down. The album was recorded in Nashville with Marti Frederiksen at the helm. Burn It Down is made up of 10 tracks (11 on the CD) and is available in digipak CD, gatefold colored vinyl, picture disk vinyl and as a digital download.

It looks like the constant recording and touring have paid off for these seasoned veterans. The band is really starting to gel and have unleashed the best record of their career. Burn It Down is a muscular tour-de-force with shout-out-loud choruses, great vocals, and stellar musicianship. This album is, without a doubt, surely going to be at the top of many “best of 2018” lists.

John Corabi delivers his most passionate vocal performance to date and should no doubt be recognized as one of finest rock vocalists in the business. Guitarist, Doug Aldrich, is in top form and Burn It Down will solidify his reputation as one of the finest and most revered rock guitarists in the world. The rest of the band are also in fantastic form as well, including founding member David Lowy and the phenomenal rhythm section consisting of Deen  Castronovo and Marco Mendoza; they really bring the tracks to a whole other level with their jaw dropping thunderous sound.

Burn It Down is just a great rock album that is well played and well produced, it’s all killer and no filler. The album as a whole is a highlight but if I have to choose my favourite tracks it would be the following; The hard rocking album opener: Resurrected, the melodic first single: Rise Up, the atmospheric Judgement Day, the Aerosmith-esque: Leave me Alone, the killer remake of The Rolling Stones’: Bitch and the heartfelt / introspective: Set Me Free.

The Dead Daisies fourth studio album is by far the most coherent, cohesive, and wickedly entertaining release by these seasoned veterans so far. Highly recommended.
