Chris Isaak returns with his first set of original compositions in six years, with First Comes the Night. The track list ranges from twelve to seventeen songs depending on which version of the album you get your hands on.
The album was recorded in Nashville and although you hear its influences, the record retains his trademark 50-60’s influenced pop songs that we have come to love with Isaak. Songs like, Please Don’t Call, Down in Flames, Insects & Perfect Lover will easily fit-in with his live shows and your playlist.
First Comes The Night doesn’t break new ground, but will no doubt solidify Isaak’s reputation as one the best singer/songwriters on the subject of broken hearts.
