Thor: The Dark World

Director Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) brings us the second installment of Thor. In a nut shell Thor (Chris Hemsworth) must save Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) from an a evil power called the "Aether" which in turns awakens an ancient enemy the" Dark Elves" lead by Malekith (Christopher Eccleston).

I will start with what I liked about Thor: The Dark World. Marvel shows the continuity of Thor and Avengers and ties them into The Dark World. All the performances from the cast are great. Chris Hemsworth brings a more mature "future king in the making" preformance. Marvel and Taylor have saved Thor from being a one dimensional hammer wielding demi-god. Tom Hiddeleston (Loki) steals the show in each of his scenes and Kat Dennings is a hoot as Darcy Lewis once again.

And now for what I really didn't care for from "The Dark World". For my taste there was a little too much jumping from Asgard to Earth. I would have preferred to see more of the nine realms and or Asgard . Besides that Thor: The Dark World is another entertaining Marvel outing.
