When a former US Army sniper, James Barr, is accused of killing five people, Jack Reacher(Tom Cruise), a former Military Police officer, takes it upon himself to investigate the case.
While the film doesn’t have the over-the-top CGI action sequences or explosions that most movie fans come to expect. Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie deliver a refreshing curveball to the action genre with this late 60s/early 70s inspired action thriller Jack Reacher.
The action sequences seem authentic, and Tom Cruise delivers a charismatic performance as the title character.
If you thought that they don’t make action films like Dirty Harry or Bullit anymore, then you owe to yourself to give Jack Reacher a viewing.
