Paul McCartney- The Best Post Beatles Work, Part 5

The Aroundtable is proud to present the fifth part in our selection of Paul McCartney’s best post-Beatles work.

Band on the Run (1973)

The album that is generally considered to be Paul McCartney's strongest solo effort. Band on the Run is where McCartney is fully focused and utilizes all his strengths and charms in order to create this majestic , style-dabbling masterpiece.

Ram (1971)

Although it has a sharper studio feel throughout, its still very much another stripped down organic recording. The album was scorned by fans and critics alike, but in retrospect, Ram may just be the first indie pop album, removing all the grandiose ambitions (from his tenure with The Beatles) in favor of a home-made record that celebrates the small pleasures of life.

McCartney (1970)

McCartney emerges from the Beatles break up with an organic home recorded self titled debut record.

Don't let this modest sounding recording fool you, songs like Maybe I’m Amazed, Every Night and Junk rank along side any of the Beatles biggest hits
