Introduction

I had been waiting for this for quite a while. I had seen players on Twitch play this game and it looked so much fun. I wanted to wait until it got released on XBOX One as I figured it would be more fun on a console than PC. Was it as fun as it looked? Lets find out !!!!

Gameplay

The game is very simple. Think FIFA Soccer with cars. It is as good as it sounds. It is the sequel to the Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars. I must admit that I did not play this game so I do not know how it compares to this one.

The graphics are pretty sweet. There are about 6 or 7 different venues to choose from. Some of them are outside and others are inside but they all look very good.

The main attraction are the cars of course, and they do not disappoint. It is as if you are playing with micromachine cars. The more that you play the more upgrades that you get. You can upgrade anything from your wheels, topper, Antenna's and much much more. You can even download some limited time cars. They have just annouced a Batmobile car will be available for you to play with. I do not know how much it will cost, but I assume it will be a few dollars.

This game has 3 main modes to play:

Online

This is now the standard for sports games where you can get matched up with other players and play an online game with other people. You can choose to play 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4. You can also play ranked and unranked games. The difference between both options is that one does not count towards the leader boards and the other one does.

Exhibition (Single Match)

I truely believe that after the tutoials, you should play a few exhibition games to get the feel of the game. These are real games that do not count towards anything. It is just there to help you get better for the online and season modes. Once again you choose your play from the different modes of 2v2, 3v3 or 4v4.

Season

This is where you can play a season of a various number of games. I personally chose the 36 week season. It is long but it is fun. To the dismay of many, this is available only in an offline mode. However I find it fun and it is a good way to get accustomed with the game. Also if you play at Rookie level, it is a great way of acquiring experience and unlocking various skins or extra for your vehicle.

Everytime you score or beat a game, you get experience points and with this you can level up. You get a different title depending on the level that you reach. I believe that online play gets you more points than offline play.

Level 0: Rookie

Level 10: Semi-Pro

Level 20: Pro

Level 30: Veteren

Level 40: Expert

Level 50: Master

Level 60: Legend

Level 74: Rocketeer

Bottomline

I think this game is the definition of an arcade game. I can picture myself feeding the machine with quarters. This is even better because for 20$, I can play it all the time! I think that anyone that likes arcade sports games will have fun with this one. I personally love this game and would recommend anyone to pick it up. I am sure there are things people will complain about, but I think there is enough here to have fun for a very long time.

Rating: 9.5 header goals out of 10
