Vin Diesel plays Kaulder, a medieval witch hunter whom within the final moments of killing the Queen Witch is cursed with her immortality, forever separating him from joining his family in the after life.

Centuries later, Kaulder is the last witch hunter, keeping a delicate truce between man and witch kind. Unbeknownst to Klauder however, the Queen Witch has returned and is ready to stake claim to this new modern world.

The Last Witch Hunter could have been the next great franchise for Vin Diesel but the film never elevates itself past a generic action fantasy film. The story is interesting but predictable, and the special effects are slightly above B movie quality. You’d think that with the box office success of The Fast and The Furious, Vin Diesel would have gotten a better budget and a better script.
