In continuing with our Bond theme, we at Aroundtable present what we consider as the best Bond films in the Roger Moore era.
Roger Moore will go down in history as the only actor to have played James Bond an impressive (00)7 times. And this was done with a sense of style, sophistication and of course, comedic air that were second to none when delivering those classic one liners.
Love him or leave him, Moore kept the franchise going from 1973 to 1985, leaving behind a trail of box office hits.
His take on Bond was quite different then Connery’s, and in hindsight it was the right approach. The grittiness of the Connery era was ending and Moore tweaked the character in order to keep Bond relevant with movie goers.
If you are willing to give Roger Moore a chance, then I suggest you watch, Live And Let Die (1973), The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and For Your Eyes Only (1981).
