This time Kay finds herself heading to Georgia to the Prison for Women to visit the woman who sexually molested former Deputy Chief Jack Fielding. The usual characters of Benton and Lucy play a smaller role while Pete takes on a bigger role along with Lucy's ex-girlfriend Jaime Berger.

While I believe that Patricia was delving more into the mind of Kay, I did feel that sometimes the book rambled on a bit. I still enjoyed reading the book and would recommend it to Scarpetta fans.
