The Empty Hearts: All Heart

The Empty Hearts, the “super-group” formed in 2013 with Wally Palmer from The Romantics on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Elliot Easton from The Cars on lead guitar, Clem Burke from Blondie on drums and Andy Babuik from the Chesterfield Kings on bass.

Their debut record shows that these guys loved the garage band sound of the British Invasion. The songs sound like the Kinks, Stones, The Beatles and The Who when they first came onto the music scene in the sixties. I can picture these guys listening to their favourite records and saying collectively…let’s make a record that sounds like that. They seem to be having a ball on this record, taking their influences and incorporating them into their music. This is a fun summer time album, made to be played loud in your car on a long drive or when you’re having a BBQ with a bunch of friends. The songs are short, sweet and infectious, if you do not start humming along with the song I Don’t Want Your Love, there is something wrong with you.

So, If you’re looking for some good old time rock n’ roll then look no further than The Empty Hearts self-titled debut album. The album is a fun filled tribute to the past that will leave you with a smile on your face after playing it….and isn’t that what music is about?

Standout Tracks: I Don’t Want Your Love (If You Don’t Want Me), (I See) No Way Out, Soul Deep, Perfect World & Drop Me Off At Home.
