PAUL McCARTNEY - Back on Track

Twenty five years ago Paul McCartney released his widely regarded return to form CD Flowers In The Dirt.

After the not so well received outings of Give My Regards to Broad Street and Press to Play, it seemed like McCartney was running out of steam.

Paul needed to work a lot harder on his follow up disc, hiring multiple porducers and working for 18 months perfecting Flowers. But most fans would agree that the creative resurgence may have come in the likes of his collaboration with Elvis Costello.

Elvis Costello seemed to have that John Lennon type of personality. Giving that Yin and Yang effect, which hasn't been heard for years on a McCartney release.

Flowers was fairly successful earning platinum certification in the UK, and gold certification in Canada and the United States.
