X-Men: Days Of Future Past (2014)

Bryan Singer returns to the X-Men franchise 14 years later in Days of Future Past. Singer had an uphill climb trying to merge the characters of the the original triliogy with those of X-Men: First Class all the while trying to keep the contuinity of the films.

Those in the know, know that DoFP borrows it's name from The Uncanny X-Men comic book story line that came out in 1981 by Chris Claremont and Terry Austin. Instead of Kitty Pryde being the focal point however, Wolverine and Mystique take centre stage.

The big question in Days of Future Past is, can a single action change the future or are we doomed to repeat ourselves regardless?

Does X-Men: Day of Future Past (DoFP) hold its own, for the most part I would say yes. I do have some minor issues with the film however: Charles Xavier is alive in the future after being killed off in X-Men: The Last Stand and the fact that Wolverine's adamantium claws come back in the future after they were sliced off by the Silver Samurai in The Wolverine. No continuity there...

All in all X men: DoFP hits the mark and without giving too much away, do pay close attention to Quicksilver, there is one scene you won't want to miss.
