What can I say...this new instalment of the X-Men franchise was quite a nice surprise. The director Bryan Singer was able to take all the previous 6 movies and make it into a story that is both character driven and action packed, and does it by respecting the original and the first class casts of the franchise.
The story is about the world in the near future in which both mutants and humans are at war with deadly killing machines called The Sentinels. Professor X and his old friend Magneto unite the surviving members of the X-Men for a last effort to stop them by trying to alter the past so that this will never happen in the first place, sending Wolverine's consciousness back to 1970s.
There is something for everyone in this movie. The action sequences in the present are apocalyptic, terminator like setting. The ones in the past (70's setting) are much less dark but great to watch. The scene with Quicksilver is just excellent. Combine all this with a great chemistry from the old and new cast of the Xmen and you end up having an entertaining movie. I would say its one of the better Xmen movie in the franchise.
I would definitely recommend X-Men: Days of Future Past and if you could see it in 3D you will definitely not be disappointed.
